Teeth Whitening
Tooth discolouration and surface staining is inevitable no matter how well you take care of your teeth. There are many factors that can contribute to the yellowing of teeth whether it is age, pulp degeneration and highly pigmented food like coffee, tea and wine.
To maintain a bright white smile teeth whitening is an effective, safe and relatively quick treatment option. Teeth whitening is a simple non-invasive bleaching process which can be completed within an hour at the dental surgery and can be an extension to a consultation appointment. Teeth whitening can also be accomplished in the comfort of your own home while wearing custom fitted trays which hold the bleaching gel in place.
Implants
Dental implants are an innovative and permanent solution to provide a natural-looking replacement of missing teeth. Dental implants are most preferred and accepted treatment option for replacing missing / non-restorable teeth and can also be used to support a dental prosthesis like a denture.
Dental implants have revolutionised the cosmetic and restorative options for patients with missing teeth. It is now possible for patients to regain the esthetics and even the feel and function they once had with their natural teeth.
Cosmetic Bonding
Cosmetic bonding can be used to restore teeth that have been affected with gaps, chips, stains, cracks and even slight misalignment. This procedure has been around for decades and the advances in the newer bonding materials have resulted in a much more durable and esthetic result.
Cosmetic dental bonding can be a great treatment option for improving smile esthetics, please contact our surgery for more information regarding cosmetic bonding.
Porcelain Crowns & Bridges
Porcelain dental crowns are very effective treatments to restore both form and function to damaged teeth. Porcelain dental crowns are essentially durable coverings placed over a tooth to restore form function and esthetics to teeth that are heavily decayed, damaged, or broken down. Porcelain crowns can be used in a variety of situations, to protect a weak tooth, to restore a tooth that is already broken or severely worn down, to hold a dental bridge in place, to cover a dental implant during the final stage of restoration.
A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth and is basically two crowns on either side of an empty space that are connected by a false porcelain tooth also know as a pontic. The bridge is permanently cemented in place just like a single unit crown.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are one of the most versatile cosmetic procedures offered by today’s cosmetic dental professionals. Porcelain veneers are essentially thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the outside surface of the teeth and in many cases require little to no reduction of the natural tooth structure. These veneers can be used to fix a variety of imperfections including staining, chips, cracks, erosions, developmental imperfections and even minor mis-alignments. The dentist implements a smile design process unique to each patient to develop a treatment plan that is ideal for that particular patient.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is about straightening or re-positioning misaligned or crooked teeth to create a good bite, which helps with overall function of your mouth and make your teeth look better as well as correct malocclusion (teeth that are crowded or crooked) to resolve difficulty with eating, talking, and cleaning your teeth.
With advanced technology in Orthodontic treatments have become popular where clear braces and aligners provide teeth straightening options without affecting how they look.

What is involved in an Implant placement?
After the initial consultation, special images of the jaw bone called a Cone Beam CT scan will be collected and often guides for implant placement will be fabricated. Once the implant specialist is ready to begin treatment and the patient is fully numb a small titanium rod will be placed through the gums and into the bone.
After the implant is placed a few months are required to let the bone heal and fully integrate with the titanium implant. During the healing time a temporary tooth can often be fabricated to help with esthetics. Once the healing is completed Dr. Mee will initiate the steps necessary for crown fabrication to cover the implant.
